• Yard Manager

  Role: Yard Manager

  Mon-Fri 0700-1700 (O/T and Saturdays available)

  We are currently looking for a Yard Manager / Yard Foreman to lead and manage a team of Yard Operatives working within our waste transfer station.

  Role

  Organise incoming and outgoing waste streams

  Be aware of and ensure all health and safety compliance is paramount

  As a Yard Manager / Yard Foreman you will be responsible for, motivate and develop colleagues to achieve a high standard of work. Supervisory or managerial experience is preferred.

  Operation of plant/ machinery where required, this includes, 360 excavators, telehandler, skip lorries.

  Knowledge of mechanical working of plant/ machinery

  Previous experience of working in a busy yard is essential, although not necessarily at managerial level, as it is pivotal to the smooth running of the business as a whole.

  To be successful as a Yard Manager / Yard Foreman you will need to be pro-active and willing to develop as the activities are wide and varying.

  Previous experience within Waste transfer environment would be advantageous but by no means essential.

  Skills and Experience

  • Plant operation
  • Previous Yard experience
  • Knowledge of the Waste sector
  • Experience of loading and unloading HGV vehicles with plant/machinery
  • Experience of maintaining high levels organisation

• Mobile Plant Operator

  Role: Mobile Plant Operator 

  Mon-Fri 0700-1700 (O/T and Saturdays available)

  Duties:

  • Sorting waste with 360 excavator and grab
  • Cleaning of working areas
  • Maintenance and cleaning of mobile plant
  • Focus on meeting and exceeding recycling targets
  • Contributing to the reporting of safety concerns

  Experience required:

  • Driven heavy plant machinery.360 excavator and grab
